I developed 16 sheets of film today. The procedure for this requires blacking out my entire apartment and then shuffling little bits of essentially plastic around for fifteen minutes from one tray to another completely in the dark. Despite that it's not as difficult as I was expecting it to be.
Something else I wasn't expecting was that the sheets of film are at once preposterously big (twice the linear dimension of the next biggest size, and four times bigger than 35mm frames) and really small (there's only one frame instead of a roll of them as long as I am tall). There are sixteen of them in my shower, drying; when I return I may get proofs done tonight.
