I picked up the books today, and figured I'd look through them for a bit. Of course I turn to the shopping list in the DMG and suddenly notice that the Wounding power on weapons got a whole lot better. It used to be that you took 1 point of damage every round thereafter until you patched yourself up--worrisome but not critical. Now it does Constitution damage. It's so worth a +2 bonus at that point...

I realized a little later that the F100 cannot be convinced to open up beyond the diameter you see there--that is, I was underexposing rather a lot when I shot the test roll. How much? Well, this one was from my D100:
And this one was from the F100 with Plus-X:
I like the second photo more than the first--it has a certain dark quality to it. But it is not what was supposed to come out of the camera, so back it goes.
Today I helped Jon and Mo move their new spa, wheeling it from CostCo to their house. This was perhaps half a mile, with a quarter ton spa on a dolly that was approximately half as long as the spa, over some rather rough spots and occasionally through the middle of traffic.
I also helped them move their previous spa, which was a quarter ton piece of junk. That episode was very poorly prepared and in fact one of the people nearly got killed in the process of moving it--it was so bad that I declared that the only way I was going to help move that spa again was if I was permitted to apply an axe to it repeatedly first. Today was considerably better, and except for me getting scraped off into a juniper tree, was without event. Which is not to say that I am not hot and sweaty and tired.
At least today I did not have to dead lift it.
