Since apparently my blasé treatment of this is causing much astonishment and consternation among my friends, you all should know that I got into a car accident on Monday. I'm fine, no one was injured, total damage is a messed up bumper and one of my headlights is basically gone. Things are still in flux re: the insurance but it seems as if their damage will be paid for and I'm SOL.

As long as the damage isn't too much/expensive, your car works, and you work, and no problems with your driver's license were incurred, then it's just adrenaline to come and go from your system.

My sympathy for the insurance crap. I'm currently plowing through it on the medical side rather than the transit side, but unexpected financial drains always suck.
